Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Is Getting An Anime Adaptation Next Year

Crunchyroll is set to exclusively publish an anime adaptation of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, FromSoftware’s beloved 2019 action game. Sekiro: No Defeat is set to release in 2026 with Studio Qzil.la leading the production. Kenichi Kutsuna (One Punch Man, Bleach) is directing the project. Notably, three original cast members – Daisuke Namikawa, Miyuki Satou, and Kenjiro Tsuda – are reprising their roles in Sekiro: No Defeat as Wolf, The Divine Heir, and Genichiro Ashina, respectively.

“We are taking on the monumental task of animating the breathtakingly beautiful Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice,” Kutsuna states in a Crunchyroll News post. “[…] The final product is being crafted to be a truly memorable experience, one that will leave a lasting impression on both dedicated fans of the game and those who are discovering the world of Sekiro for the very first time.”
